John leads the Operations team overseeing Armanino’s Business Outsourcing Services practice. He brings decades of experience in a variety of executive positions in the financial services, entertainment, energy, technology, and retail industries to help clients with their challenges. John combines financial, operational and strategic knowledge to drive client success.
With 20 years of experience in C-Level roles, including eight years as a CEO in two different companies, John brings leadership expertise to a broad spectrum of companies, including Fortune 100 companies, family-owned, private businesses and private equity-owned firms. Prior to joining Armanino, John was CFO of a turnaround company in the energy industry, where he helped redirect financial operations after years of losses into a successful and profitable business in the last year of his tenure. Prior to that role, he directed another turnaround situation as the CEO of an energy-related subsidiary of a Fortune 1000 company, ultimately resulting in the firm’s sale and a gain to the parent company. Additionally, as the CEO of a Fortune 100 subsidiary, John fully reorganized the business operations for greater efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in $5 million annual savings to the entity.
John is a sought-after expert who has been quoted in numerous cannabis-related equipment and industry articles. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in production management and his MBA in finance from Eastern Illinois University, following his service as an Aerial Navigator on C-130 aircraft in the United States Marine Corps.
