Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
The entrepreneurial spirit and the strong commitment to client service drew me to Armanino. This is the kind of firm where following your professional passions are encouraged and building rewarding relationships happens.
Q. What is the toughest decision you have ever made?
Making the change from engineering to accounting. I had gone to school planning to be an engineer, and my parents supported that career path. I decided to switch to accounting because it was more of a natural fit for me, but it’s not easy to start something and realize you need to stop and go another direction.
Q. What law or regulation in the accounting industry would you like to see changed?
Inventory cost capitalization. The rules are cumbersome and it’s a timing issue.
Q. Describe your work style.
Organized and team-oriented
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
Definitely my spouse. She’s very supportive and helped me become a more well-rounded person. She is an art teacher who helps me see beauty in the world, and helps me appreciate the balance of life and work.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
Work hard, be positive, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
