Q. What is it about the accounting or consulting profession that first drew your interest?
Accounting is the language of business. It enables you to understand how money flows and is managed. Furthermore, I enjoy helping people find solutions to real-life business challenges and opportunities.
Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
I wanted to be part of an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented firm that impacts our clients and puts our people first. Clients and people are the two most important things in our business. Growth creates opportunity for others, and I want to continue to help build value for our clients and our firm.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
I had the privilege of serving a professional sports team. I was fascinated by the business as well as some of the unique tax rules in the professional sports area. The client truly appreciated the value of my services. In fact, we would often brainstorm about business and tax issues.
Q. What keeps you up at night?
Honestly, I work very hard and endeavor to do my very best each day. With that in mind, I sleep very well, and I am often amazed at what “sleeping on it” can yield.
Q. Describe your work style.
I am hands-on at first. I like to encourage questions and enjoy teaching others. I really enjoy encouraging professional growth and letting others take over the reins knowing that I will always be there to help and support every member of my team.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
My father and grandfather. They taught me to work hard, to put others first, and to persevere always.
