Q&A

Q. What is the toughest decision you have ever made?

I don’t necessarily believe that I’ve had tough decisions to make. I believe that you make a decision by using the information you have to the best of your ability, following your gut and trusting and having faith in your choice. And if your decision steers you in the wrong direction, you pivot. That’s what we do in life. We pivot.

Q. What is your favorite part about your role at Armanino?

As an internal client-focused partner, my clients are my peers. My focus is on analyzing data to optimize our processes and meet the needs of our team. For someone who started as staff and progressed through partnership, I feel privileged to support the people at our firm. I’m happy to put systems in place that make the most of our collective effort and create opportunities for all of us to grow.

Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.

I am grateful to have had so many wonderful client experiences. I like the clients who challenge us to think outside the box, which is important to me because I strive to not put my clients in boxes; I want to build a box around my client to ensure their experience is tailored specifically to their needs. That goes a long way in strengthening our relationship.

Q. Please tell us one fun fact about yourself.

I am a huge Disney junkie! Disney can help solve a lot of life challenges. I’m a little bit of an Up fanatic.

Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life?

My mom. When I was growing up, she was a single mom of two daughters; she worked hard and she worked a lot, but she was always there for us and raised us to be good people. She instilled respect in us at a young age and showed us how hard work can pay off. I am grateful for all she taught me that helped me become the person I am today.

Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?

Be open to where the road takes you! Life is about the journey. There’s so much life I got to experience because I said “yes” when I got the opportunity.
