A real estate industry expert and tax and business advisor to companies, professionals and individuals, Alan helps clients address a wide range of issues. Clients benefit from Alan’s time-tested ability to help them reduce or defer income tax and estate tax liability, increase profitability, finance acquisitions, structure deals and refinance debt. Additionally, Alan works closely with high-net-worth individuals to monitor their portfolios and offer expert accounting advice as well as tax, estate planning and other guidance.
Alan specializes in real estate transactions of all kinds, including those that involve development and construction, rental operations, sales or exchanges, management and brokerage. He advises real estate professionals on issues related to residential real estate, office and industrial buildings, shopping centers and vacant land held for investment and/or development. Actively involved in the real estate community, Alan is involved with a number of organizations over the years and has taught real estate accounting at the New York University School of Continuing Education, given lectures on accounting and tax matters and helped author the Common Interest Realty Associates Guide issued by the AICPA.
